Hey folks, so full disclosure I have an appointment with the Genius Bar this week but was curious if anyone had experienced significant battery health degradation on M1 MBP's? I'm at all of 26 cycles on the battery and CoconutBattery is showing 87% health. I do have the "Optimize battery charging" ticked.

Just curious if anyone has experienced and what resolution have you seen if any?

My M1 use case is really just web browsing and watching Plex while I work. Sits alongside my work MBP during the day.

Thanks all!

That's on the low side, but those readings aren't always accurate. Sometimes the percent goes back up. Apple will do its own test.

Apple usually won't do anything until it drops below 80%. Unless you bought AppleCare+, the warranty is one year from purchase.

Thank you. I do have AC+ co hopefully they can at least run the diagnostics and see what if any issues.

I am also a little bit shocked by the fact that I am carrying 20% dead battery around everyday after only on year of using the device.

The difference is noticeable, last year 10% battery left meant plenty of time to find the charging brick. Now its almost makes you hurry like in the days before the M1.
