Hello guys, I need you help in choosing between the Macbook Pro 13in 2016 with touchbar or the Macbook Pro 13in 2017 without touchbar ?

I have tested the touchbar on the Macbook 2017 and I really like it so I prefer the 2016 with touchbar and also I don't need the extra speed of the processor on the 2017 as I don't use it heavily....

My only issue is if there is a difference in the keyboard or any other major differences that I should be aware of, I read somewhere that the keyboard is better on the 2017 but I also read somewhere else that both of them have the 2nd generation butterfly keyboard....

SO I'm confused, thank you in advance for your help.

Where are you buying it from? If it's an Apple refurb, you should be able to stack on the Apple Care warranty (must buy within 60 days of purchase of MBP IIRC, not sure what the terms are if you buy from a refurb from a third party company and if you're looking at a secondhand seller from ebay or something, I would look for models with Apple Care).

Regardless of which model you go with, just protect yourself with AC+ and you should be good. I have read that there are fewer failures on the 2017 keyboard, but I can't recall if any hard evidence was posted so I try to refrain from using that argument. If you like the touchbar, get the 2016 model.

Thank you buddy very much, I appreciate your advice, but my main question is if the keyboard on both is supposed to be the same version
