All,

My hard drive failed so I replaced it with a crucial mx300 525gb.

Now, whether my new or old hard drive is in, I cannot connect to web pages as it says the site is insecure/certificate cannot be trusted. I can't connect to iCloud because it says it can't establish a connection with the server. Apple has been unable to permanently solve so I'm asking here. Below is everything I've tried already.

-wipe drives, partition etc
-reset nvram/smc (allowed my computer to work for about 20 min before going back to this issue now won't fix it again)
-time/date check and reset
-reinstall OS X sierra (online and from the store)
-reinstall OS X Yosemite
-change startup disk

It has been an ongoing issue for about a week and nobody can seem to figure it out. Any ideas?

This happens with wired and wireless connections? Happens with any wired or wireless network?
Correct. I've tried Ethernet and wifi at home and in the store on their network.

Date and time is all correct. We've reset it in terminal and in settings a few times.

Also have reinstalled OS X a few times to no avail.

Considering everything that you've done, I would suggest taking the SSD out, put it in an external enclosure and see if it will work on another Mac - there may be something in your 2010 Mac that's causing the problem. You have to make sure that whatever other Mac you use can boot the OS you have on the SSD. If you don't have access to another Mac, you may want to try and see if the Apple Store can help (but if you have Yosemite on, they may not have a computer handy to boot, although the current Mac Mini's and Mac Pro's should be able to boot Yosemite).

Sounds like your network adapter went bad. Try plugging in a mac compatible usb network adapter.

All. I went through the hard drive reset + OS X install again on another network and it worked perfectly that time but now still Has the trust certificate/server error when connecting to my own network. Any other ideas?

This is a strange issue considering you have tried all of the normal troubleshooting steps!

All. I went through the hard drive reset + OS X install again on another network and it worked perfectly that time but now still Has the trust certificate/server error when connecting to my own network. Any other ideas?

When you are on the other network, are you still having the same certificate issues, or is this something now only happening on your network?

If it is happening on multiple networks, is it specific to one ISP? And are location services enabled?
If it is now only happening on your current network, have you checked the router settings and for any firmware updates?

Since you have already verified that the date/time/timezone is correct (which I assume is configured for automatic entry), have you tried manually changing the date/time/timezone, perhaps even to an intentionally incorrect date?

If you put the drive in a USB or FW800 enclosure and boot from the enclosure, do the issues persist?

If another network works but yours doesn't that tells me you have an issue with your network. Either a bad router on your network or another device/computer on your network is causing the problem. Shut down everything on your network, reboot the router and then only log on with your mac.
