Hello together,

did anyone face the same issue?:

Just today I have discovered on the display of my 5 months old MacBook Pro 14 inch something like a "grain".

Directly contacted Apple and asked for a repair... hopefully I will get it replaced without costs. :/

Is it under the lcd, or an actual hole? I had a pixel go bad on one of my previous MBP and it looked the same.

maybe something was on the keyboard when you closed it?
No, I was really "babying" it. I am pretty sure that there was nothing which could have damaged the screen this way.

I think it is (was) directly on the glass. Not in the display, so no bad pixel - from what I was able to see.

Update:

Apple repaired it for free under warranty with no further questions. 42 hrs turnaround time from sending it in to receiving it back.

Wow that’s great. Normally Apple doesn’t repair external cosmetic issues. I’ve had really bad luck in some case when you get a picky rep.

This is not exterior cosmetic issues, on the monitor can impede someone from doing professional works. Especially like dead pixel etc.

Also don't see this really as a cosmetic issue. The housing is one thing, but things on my display the other. No, wouldn't stop you from work, but it's simply not acceptable.

Expect a display to stay in 100% shape if I treat it 100% good. :)
