Hey, so I upgraded my MacBook 12 retina to a MacBook Pro 14-inch, 2021 based model. I'm running Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Every so often when I'm working on a job the screen goes all funny, in this instance the screen went all pink until I zoomed in and out. I've had it happen a few times where the screen goes all crazy. What's causing it? I wouldn't of thought it would be low memory because my MacBook 12 retina only had 8mb ram and it never happened. Is it an Adobe software problem?

I have the MBP Max 14"/32GB and I run a lot of Adobe apps including all the ones you listed with none of the issues you are showing. Check your laptop's refresh rate in SysPref -> Display. Mine is set to ProMotion. Also you do not say how large the files are and I do know those apps are memory hogs. Still that should only affect speed not how your monitor displays.

If the issue persist I would be calling Apple. That is not normal and your model should handle those apps.

I run into those issues occasionally while working on a 200+ pages brand book with loads of images. I believe it is an Adobe glitch in InDesign that I have experienced on my 2019 MBP under BigSur + Monterey aswell. Just hold tight and wait for an update ?

(edit: I’m working on a 16” fully spec’ed out M1Max now)

Hmm. So far haven’t seen anything like that on my 2021 16” Max in photoshop, illustrator or Lightroom, but I’ll be on the lookout.

Thanks everyone for replying. Files sizes are small, under 20mb and display is set at Pro-Motion. I think it's only Indesign, maybe just a software bug? I've got it plugged into a Dell monitor (p2720dc) during my work day and I keep the screen open under the monitor as a second screen. It didn't "Save As" in any of the Adobe CC programs until I upgraded to Mac OS 12.1 earlier this week.

I had a document open at the beginning of the week and it turned red with green all over the screen. I zoomed in and out and it disappeared.

I've had it under a month, I'm tempted to wipe it clean and take it back to where I purchased it and exchange it for fresh one as I'll have some down time over xmas. Maybe I'm over reacting?

Right click the apps icon and toggle on open with Rosetta. Seems to fix most of the Adobe issues at the moment.

Yes I have seen this on Intel Mac. An Adobe bug.

Just to update the thread. All was ok through December and early January. But just over a week ago I had this message pop up, contacted Apple who suggested I try and run revive and restore to no avail. They said it was a hardware failure and I had to send it in for repair.

Disappointed to say the least as the machine was only 39ish days old. Took it back to John Lewis where I bought it from and they were very helpful and gave me a brand new machine.

Hopefully that's all sorted. Will keep the thread updated on how I'm getting on.

I have the issue every now and then on my 5K iMac. I assumed it was something with the GPU, nice to know others have the issue.

I have a 14" Max coming end of February (fingers crossed) and looking forward to seeing how it handles Adobe CC, specifically Indesign.
