Macbook Pro 14 lags with external display in Chrome

Hi All,

My Macbook 14 16gb RAM is sitting with the OS it is shipped with. My 8gb M1 Air had never lags in outlook while using chrome, this one does always lag when connected to external screen while using web version of Outlook. Cables are the same as used with M1 Air.

Should i update MacOS or do something else to fight this? I am not really keen on updating MacOS.
