Hi all,

last week I bought a MacBook Pro 14 m2.

Adjusting the brightness I noticed that brightness steps are not equal.
first half (8) of the 16 adjustment steps make a huge difference in illumination whereas the second half of the adjustment range makes barely a visible difference.

Does anyone owning this device experiencing the same behavior?

My M1 MBA is the exact same.

EDIT: maybe try Shift-Option-Brightness Up/Down keys to expand the incremental brightness jumps

Just found this thread because I found this same behavior odd on my new 14" M3 Pro model. My previous 13" Intel model didn't seem to do the same. I had no idea you could do fractional-increments like this! In certain light, I really found myself wanting something between ticks 8 and 9 on the brightness scale.
