I plan to use MacBook Pro 14" M2 Max with 3 Dell UltraSharp monitors (27" or 32" 4K). Future configuration: 64 GB of RAM, 2 TB SSD

Please share your experience and setup:

- Macbook Pro configuration: memory
- Thunderbolt dock selected
- Cables (if applicable)
- If not using Dell monitors, appreciate additional feedback about other monitors

M2 16" Max, one LG 27, one HP 27, one 32" 4k Vizio TV.
All plugged in directly with usb c to HDMI and DP cables.
Everything is perfect. Got a bigger desk and a 2 arm monitor mount.

How much memory does your Macbook Pro have?

16" M2 Max 30GPU 32GB 2TB

I Use Davinci Resolve all day with no hiccups. Resolve loves GPU, I would've got the 38GPU but it was either that or space and I need 2TB. RAM, I have 0 swaps

How do you know resolve is using all the gpu cores? Someone on here told me resolve isn’t capable of using all gpu cores.

Look at GPU activity on activity monitor while the timeline auto renders and you’ll see all the GPU cores you have go to 100%. In my case 30GPU cores go all the way to 100 at the same time. Davinci loves all your cores

so best MacBook is the MAX? 16 cores vs 32 is a big difference?

M2 cores scale better and run better and faster than M1 cores because of something they fixed with L2 buffers or something like that. But yes, on M2 performance scales with core count. Max is better. also double pro res acceleration etc etc
