Hello, guys
I'm looking forward to buying a used Macbook pro. In my country the stated above models are in the same price range and I cant decide which one to choose.

I will be using it mainly for development(coding).

This is the specs of the 2015 Macbook Pro 15 inch:
i7-4770HQ 2.2Ghz up to 3.4GHz Turbo Boost
16GB 1600MHz RAM
Iris Pro 5200 1.5GB vRam
256GB SSD PCIe 2.0 x4
This is the slightly cheaper one

The more expensive one:
Macbook Pro 15” Retina 2015:
2.5 - 3.7Ghz i7 TurboBoost Quad Core
16GB DDR3L 1600Mhz RAM
Intel Iris Pro 1536MB
Radeon R9 370x 2GB GDDR5
512GB SSD

And the 2017 Macbook Pro 2017 inch specs:
MacBook Pro (Retina 13-inch, 2017 Touch Bar)
Processor: 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Graphics: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536MB
SSD Disk: 256GB
>>>Still has WARRANTY untill 09.2019!!<<<

The thing that makes me lean towards the 2015 Macbook 15 inch is the bigger screen and the 16gbs of RAM.
I'm not sure if the 13 inch screen will be ok for development, maybe somebody who has experience share its thoughts.

The things that I like in the 2015 Macbook Pro 15 inch:
Bigger screen
More RAM 16gb

The things that I like in the 2017 Macbook Pro 13 inch:
Better screen(not the size of it)
Love the new design!
The touch bar

Also this will be my first Macbook so please share your thoughts about this. :)

If you’re coding, I’d be going for the quad core with 16GB.

I love the 13” form factor (I use one) but I would take the horsepower if I was you.

The exception would be if you’re just learning to code, and right at the start of the learning curve, and need to drag your MBPro all over the place for college or whatever. Certainly a dual core can compile and if you need the light weight then it’s a winner. But again, my gut feel is quad core and 16GB.

Depends on what kind of coding and whether you will use an external monitor. If it's some IDE like XCode and no external monitor, then you might feel cramped on 13.

Well I am still a learner but mainly I will be coding on Java, C#, Python, HTML, CSS and that kind of stuff.

You can definitely get by on the 13 inch, but if I were you I’d go for the 15 inch. The extra screen real estate is very useful in development because you’ll end up with a ton of windows, and it’s always more efficient to tile them rather than to have them overlap. I would not go for the 13 inch if I can help it.
