Hello,

I read various threads talking about cases, sleeves with straps or super pimped out hard sleeves, but all I want is a light enclosing that just fits the MacBook Pro and protects it from scratches so I can put it in my backpack.

I found the following:
- Marware Sportfolio Sleeve
- Tucano SecondSkin
- be.ez LArobe

They all look pretty much the same, but I wonder if any of you have some pros and cons to report about these sleeves.

I bought the Tucano sleeve and like it a lot. one bonus of this one is it comes with a keyboard cover for when your mbp is closed.

How well does it fit? Do you have the newest 15.4" MBP? I was greatly disappointed with the incase neoprene which doesn't fit quite right because it hasn't been updated for the different dimensions of the newer MBP's. Also, how thick is the neoprene? I like the thickness of the incase and one of my old roommates had a neoprene case that was SUPER thin, I wouldn't want to trade down in thickness for a good fit...

I have a Tucano SecondSkin and I find it really good for my MBP SR. It fits perfectly with a layer to prevent the inside of the zipper touching the case. Mine didn't come with a keyboard cover though, and the after calling the Applestore (where I bought it) they told me to go visit the store, and I got lazy. But I still find it worth the price.

But the tucano is supposed to have not-that-great zippers doesn't it?

I don't know about the other ones. I ordered the second skin but haven't got it yet. (But I did it on looks only)

I own an Incase neoprene sleeve for my 15.4" MBP. Ordered it along with the MBP from the Apple store ... delayed the arrival of the computer for about a week.
I really can't complain about it. It doesn't have a very tight fit though (the tight fit will cause your MBP to scratch against the zipper when you insert it in the sleeve, my friend has a much tighter sleeve and the sides of his MBP are all scratched up after a year of use or so), but it's very well manufactured, thick neoprene, very easy and well protected zipper, ... what more could you ask for :)

Do you Tucano owners have this

It looks like they are the same on the inside, just the exterior is different.

The incase one does have little ridges inside the zippers to protect your computer from scratches, although I don't know how that would work if the case was tight on my MBP... but it claims it protects against scratches. Maybe I should be glad it doesn't fit as snugly as I wanted if snug means scratches.

I have the bottom one.

Also, I remember the Incase claiming that it will fit the powerbooks also, maybe that's why the fit is not so tight, since they need to accommodate widescreen and nonwidescreens.
