I have Macbook pro 15 from mid 2010,I recently upgraded my ram to 8gb and added ssd. Now every time i open my mac(from sleep) with in a minute it restarts, it also happens when i switch on my mac.

I thought it is a problem with RAM, but after a few tests i realised that the problem is due to the NVIDIA chip on the mac and any graphics/video intense operation is making the kernal panics.

I want to replace the logic board,as Apple officially stopped support for these machines now they told me to go to an external mac-repair places.I am thinking to replace the logic board my self,

are there any good options available for me?

It might still be the RAM. The way to know would be to put the old RAM back in and see if you still get the same panics.

I would probably just replace it, logic board will either be very expensive or used, but then you don't know how long it'll last.
