Bear in mind that most of these so-called 'leaks' are really just people making educated guesses. If I had to make a guess about the spec of the next Macbook Pro 16 chip, I'd guess 8 performance + 4 efficiency cores too. Remember that these 'leakers' didn't even know about the new Mac Mini until it was announced, and that the 'leaked' 12" Macbook turned out to be completely false.

Not much of a “leak”. How much RAM is supported. How many Thunderbolt/USB4 ports. How many monitors are supported? Not to mention the number of GPU cores. We know the limitations of the M1 now. Any leak that doesn’t address those limitations isn’t saying much.

Apple has never announced a "new" product in Dec. They have released previously planned products in Dec, like the Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR, but they never have announced a new product in Dec.

Apple usually takes the month off and especially with COVID-19, I don't see them announcing the 16-inch MBP with M1 or an enhanced M1 in Dec, most likely next year.

Honest question: Is this "tomsguide.com" website just a crappy advertising scam site playing off the reputable "tomshardware.com"? Because I've been seeing tomsguide pop up a lot lately, and when I click through I pretty much always end up regretting it.

If it's a real site please let me know. I may just be out of the loop.
