Hi,

I've had my MacBook Pro 16 inch for a few months now and today was the first day I am getting the battery not charging message even when plugged in:

I have none of the Battery options setup as I suspect I got this early on and some of these options were part of the problem back then. Any thoughts about how to work around this or if this is just an Apple Service issue.

Do you have the capability to charge it via USBc (instead of the MagSafe)?
(you'd need a charger with USBc PD ability)
If so, have you tried that?

For battery heath reasons, it won’t charge or it delays charging if you’ve been using the MacBook plugged in for an extensive period.
That usually says charging on hold and gives you option to charge it to full.

Charging On Hold is the next step if the battery continues to be unused for the next few days. It’s a two stage process.

Thanks Everyone. Never saw this before so was not sure if this is functionality or something is wrong with the charging process since I had read of a lot of charging problems, initially, with the MacBook PRO's
