Hello fellow Mac fans, my new 16 inch macbook pro has been having a few problems ever since I updated my OS to catalina 10.15.4.

1) I've noticed that sometimes my laptop doesn't shut down when I try to turn it off forcing me to hold down the power button in order to turn it off.
2) the bigger issue for me is that often times when I wake my lappy up from sleep by opening the lid, the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive forcing me to use my external mouse and keyboard or forcing me to hold down the power button to restart the machine.

Has anyone else had these problems? Has anyone else found any solutions?

I get a notification saying I have no keyboard and mouse connected which seems illogical when the keyboard and mouse are built into the machine. The touchbar continues to work without any problems.

I have similar issues. The left, right arrows and the trackpad are not working properly. If I repeatedly click them they eventually respond. Ive tried rebooting but this has not helped. This started after doing the latest Catalina update.

I did a factory reset and it solved the problem for me, I think the glitch is software related.

I am also having this same problem with the trackpad and keyboard being unresponsive when I open my laptop after updating to Catalina 10.15.14.

So factory resetting and restoring a backup seems to solve the issue?

I just completed a restore from a backup with a machine with this issue and the issue comes back. The logs are all pointing to WiFi causing this issue. Which is weird. Suggest macOS recovery and wipe. Restore only data and not settings or apps.
