Hi Guys,

I have my Macbook Pro 17 Mid 2010 (Specs on the image) I wan have a regular HDD with 500GB, and im looking to upgrade the disk to a nMVE of 500gb or 1TB.

I am not an expert on this, but i want to know if anyone has done this on this specific computer, Ive been researching on the internet and there many people who has done this on a 2013,2014 2015 but not on a this specific laptop (Macbook Pro 17 Mid 2010).

Can anyone tell if is possible and do i need to get it done?

Thanks

Yeah, the easiest way to upgrade would be to a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. A real question would be if a system as old as the 2010 MBP would even see a major benefit from the higher speeds of an NVME.
