Hi,

I just bought a 15" Macbook Pro, 2g Ram, and 2.33Ghz processor. In the item's description, it says Core Duo, but I was pretty sure the 2.33 model was only made with the Core 2 duo processor, but I could be wrong. Anyone know for sure?
Thanks in advance for any help

All the 2.33 GHz models should be Core 2 Duo. You can see it on Mactracker for example. Go to Applications / Utilities / Apple System Profiler, you'll see that the Machine ID will be MacbookPro2,2 if it's Core 2 Duo. Also the processor will be T7600. Generally, if System profiler says it's 2,33 Ghz then it's Core 2 Duo for sure.

Thanks for the reply. Can anyone confirm this? Also, what would be the best case to get for it? I've heard speck is the way to go, but I'm not sure.

Hi,
2.33 is a Core 2 Duo, their was not any processor in that speed for laptop in the core duo range. I use a red Speck case and really like. The case is really a personal choice, their is a lot of choice out there and only tried Speck and really like it on my new MBP SR 2.2...
