MacBook Pro 2012 faster than Mac Pro 2013 with more specs

hi everyone.
I have MBP mid 2012 i7 quad core 16gb 768gb ssd and Mac Pro mid 2013 Xeon six core 32gb ram v card d500 amd 3gb ram 256gb ssd
Both El Capitan and latest FCP X version

If I add effect "blobs" it last 30" in both at 1080p in h264 to export it takes 30 seconds in my MPB PRO and in my Mac Pro 90 seconds
Why? Same settings in both Mac

According to the following link, if you choose settings that emphasize speed over quality, FCPx will use Quick Sync which is available on MBP and not MP.

There are Xeons that support Quick Sync, but apparently they aren't the type of Xeon that goes into MPs.
