Macbook pro 2013 with Dell ultrasharp

Hi,

I am about to buy the 'DELL ULTRASHARP U2515H'. Does anyone got experience using this screen with a Macbook Pro 13 inch late 2013? I would like it to run at 60hz.

On Apple's website they say max resolution is 1080p @ 60hz and then it jumps to 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz: no information about 60hz on 2550 x 1440.

Can my macbook run 2550 x 1440 at 60hz without any issues?

Paired with my mid '14 13" rMBP, the U2515H is driven flawlessly at 2550x1440 / 60hz (native).

It is a nice monitor and I'm certain you will like the setup.

I tested it with my rMBP 15" mid 2015 but didnt like it at all.

The U2515H displays nice crisp text and sharp images with good brightness for me.

I also tried Dells 4K monitor, no dice @ 60hz using the '14 rMBP (13") - the LG Ultrafine's are gorgeous but again, no go with the '14.

What monitor are you using?

I've got a late 2013 13 connected to a Dell 27@ 2560 x 1440 running without any problems.

Thanks all. Just purchased the monitor: not as sharp as retina (ofc.) but a good price/quality monitor.

Tips for macbook pro users above late 2013 '13: go for UHD (4k) screens and run it in 1080p @ 60hz or higher. Had to refund my Samsung u28e589DS because my graphic card was to weak to run 1080p at 60hz, but tested it on late 2013 '15 aswell and the quality was amazing.
