I am little frustrated by lack of post on this topic.

Does or can this laptop do 4k monitor at 60hz? Based on my research, it can handle single 4k monitor. Is this true? Can it handle more than one? Is there any size limit? for an example, can it handle 4k 32 monitor at 60 hz?

Do you have any experience? Have you ever really set this up? How is your experience? Which connection do you use?(DP I assume?)

How would I know if below will work at 60 hz?

Please let me know.

thank you.

Yes. The Intel Iris Pro integrated GPU in the base 2015 15” can handle one 4K display at 60Hz. No problem.

Size of the monitor makes no difference at all. A 5.5 inch 4K smartphone display and a 65 inch 4K TV both have the same number of pixels... 3840x2160 pixels. Physical display size makes no difference to the GPU - only resolution.

I am having an issue with this laptop but with the m370x. I am having troubles getting 4k@60hz working. I got a displayport 1.2 adaptor and hdmi 2.0, yet under display settings it's only allowing me to output at 30hz. Is this something that should be automatically detected?

With all my searching, I actually haven't been able to find anyone that has had this issue?

This is the part of a problem. I wish there was a store I can walk in to try these things.

I ran 4K 60 all day with my mid-2014 15” with 750M. The 2014 and 2015 15” models support 4K 60 regardless of graphics option according to Apple.

Did you have to use displayport to hdmi?
Did it automatically allow 4K at 60hz? When I display 4K it only gives me the option of 24, 25, or 30hz. I can confirm the TV I am using can support 4K @ 60hz (xbox one s runs perfect), and I'm using a displayport 1.2 and hdmi 2.0 cables. What am I missing?
(Thanks for any help you provide)

IIRC, you need to use miniDisplayPort on the computer-side connector for both displays to do 4k @60 x 2. The HDMI port only supports up to 30 (even with a 2.0 cable and 2.0-capable display - although a mDP-->HDMI 2.0 cable would presumably work if your monitor is HDMI 2.0 and does not have a DP input.)
