Hello, I have a 2015 MacBook Pro and for a few days, being closed and with the battery practically full, the apple has turned on twice.

Does anyone know why it lights up?

Thanks.

I don’t know why it’s lighting up but it means that your screen is turning on. The Apple logo is translucent and just let the light from the screen through thus lighting it up. Apologies if you already know this.

Do you have any time specific processes running? Maintenance, backups, etc

Edit: check the logs for kernel panic, any sleep related entries within the time frame it's occuring.

Thanks.
