10.12.1 (16B2555)

Description: When I go to sleep, I close the lid on my rMBP and disconnect power. Until 10.12.1 I'd get up, open the machine and it would be awake. After the update when I open the laptop screen is black, doesn't react to keys or trackpad clicks and requires me to press the power button for 10 seconds to switch on. So either it's completely frozen or just off. But when it's on battery is at 100% so it doesn't discharge. If I close the lid for, say, an hour and come back, it works as expected.

Anybody else with this problem? Nothing unusual in power settings, Power Nap is off.

[doublepost=1477475686][/doublepost]You could try a SMC reset. Google procedure for both removing battery and with battery in place.

if it requires holding for 10 seconds, then it's frozen in some manner. After the long sleep it will have entered different state of deeper hibernation rather than just plain sleep, think this happens after hour or so.

So 1) SMC reset didn't help.

2) It doesn't switch off, it actually hangs. I held the power key today for 15 seconds or so and nothing happened. So I took my finger off then pressed it again and the computer started more or less immediately.

In the meantime I was away half of the day, leaving the laptop on so Photos can do its thing (it's at 20% after two days, going well). It didn't freeze. So it's deep sleep that is the problem. I guess the only realistic way I can find a fix is alter the time after which deep sleep starts, change something, wait for the laptop to freeze, start it up again, change something, wait for freeze...
