I'm trying to connect my 24" Apple Led Cinema Display to my new MBP, I bought the Kensington sd4600 dock, but can't have it work. If I connect a Dell Display Port screen it works, but when I connect my Cinema Display through the StarTech DisplayPort to Mini Display Port adapter, nothing happens...

Has anybody, any hint of what could be the problem here?

Thank you very much!
Philippe

I have the same dock. I suspect it's the cable. They are very sensitive on which work and which don't. I think trying a cable matters or some other reputable brand is worth the try. Not saying star tech isn't. Sometimes they only work one way too. Usually MBP mini to monitor DP is how they are designed to work when one-way. I've had some trial and error with DP as well. Good luck.

Thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately Cable Matters do not carry this adapter in Europe. I must also say that the StarTech adapter I'm trying is the second one, I tried before the Delock adapter but without success. I had hopes with the StarTech adapter as I read an enthusiastic report of it working with the Caldigit dock that seems to have identical characteristics to the Kensington sd4600. I'll try to get in touch with Kensington to see if they have something to say...
