Hi folks,
So my Macbook Pro just automatically restarted and gave me this error log (I'm copying what seems like the relevant bit at the top):
---------------------------
*** MCA Error Report ***
CPU Machine Check Architecture Error Dump (CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6920HQ CPU @ 2.90GHz, CPUID: 0x506E3)
CATERR detected! No MCA data found.
---------------------------
*I had NO peripherals attached*. No external hard drives, dongles or anything. Just the power cable attached. The error seemed to happen right after I switched on the power supply. I am aware that this error seems to have been cropping up with Macbook Pros that had time machine running, but in my case I had nothing of the sort.
I ran a diagnostic test (pressing 'D' after power on) and no issues were found. So I'm bound to say it's a software issue rather than a hardware one.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
