Hi folks,

So my Macbook Pro just automatically restarted and gave me this error log (I'm copying what seems like the relevant bit at the top):

---------------------------

*** MCA Error Report ***
CPU Machine Check Architecture Error Dump (CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6920HQ CPU @ 2.90GHz, CPUID: 0x506E3)
CATERR detected! No MCA data found.

---------------------------

*I had NO peripherals attached*. No external hard drives, dongles or anything. Just the power cable attached. The error seemed to happen right after I switched on the power supply. I am aware that this error seems to have been cropping up with Macbook Pros that had time machine running, but in my case I had nothing of the sort.

I ran a diagnostic test (pressing 'D' after power on) and no issues were found. So I'm bound to say it's a software issue rather than a hardware one.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I've also seen it with no accessories plugged in. Hoping the next macOS is released with a software/firmware fix for some of these 2016 MBP issues.

I have the same problem and it's still there even after the update of the MacOS Sierra to version 10.12.2
How did you solve it ?

Thanks!

I just updated to 10.12.4 and the problem persists. The problem with the LG 4K monitor also persists (if the monitor and the power supply are both plugged in, the monitor will not awaken from sleep).
