Hello everyone!

This is my first post here.
I'm coming to ask you some help, if you have some answers to provide!

So I recently got a 13" MacBook Pro from 2017 with function keys (A1708).
I got it knowing that it would only work while plugged on its charger.

I decided to have a look inside, so I tore it down, and I realized that there was no battery installed in it.
Since I closed it, the fan goes full speed, internal keyboard and trackpad don't work anymore and the Mac is very slow (opening a terminal took over 5mn for example).
I had a second look inside and it doesn't seem like I did any damage to the components soldered to the motherboard.
Resetting SMC and NVRAM didn't solve anything.

Do you think that my problems are just due to the missing battery? Or is it something worse?

EDIT: I ran Apple Diagnostics and here are the errors I have:

Battery not detected (PPT001) as expected;
Issue with SMC (PFM006);
Power management system issue (PPN001).

Thanks in advance for your precious help!

My problem was probably the simplest to solve.. The trackpad's ribbon cable was not seated properly. After reseating it, it all works again!

Be aware that the computer will only run at about half speed with no battery.
