I’m having an issue with a 2017 MacBook Pro 13”. It tries to boot, but there is no display image . It isn’t flexgate, because there is still backlight, but no screen output. It goes in a cycle of bright backlight, dim, then black again. I was able to boot into recovery mode a few days ago on an external display, but the trackpad didn’t work, I think because the display wasn’t fully open. Is there any way to fix it? I am fairly experienced in electronic and computer repair, but I’ve never seen anything like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

After a few minutes of diagnosing, I am fairly sure one of the CD3215 USB-C controllers is bad. Does anyone know who could repair this for a reasonable cost? The cheapest I’ve found is $250.
