Hey guys, I have a bit of a problem here... I can't connect to the internet wirelessly in the basement. It's very strange because sometimes it will connect just fine and work just fine and sometimes it won't connect at all. It detects the network all the time on the airport icon but most of the time it won't connect. It just says connection failed. I have a sony vaio thats about a year and a half old and it picks it up just fine. On the sony the status of the internet is "low" but still, its usable. On this macbook pro, however, it will see the network but sometimes (most of the time) won't connect. Anybody know a solution to this? thanks... Oh, yeah i just got this MBP last week its brand new 2.4 ghz 2 gigs ram running leopard.

What brand router do you have? It almost sounds like you need to do a firmware update on the router in order for it to be able to connect to your Mac.
