MacBook Pro and DVD-HD

Sorry if this is a dumb question but will my Core Duo 2.13gb 17" MBP with 1gb ram play the new generation of HD DVDs at HD resolution or is the DL DVD drive not compatible?
I fancy getting the new "The Sopranos" DVD-HD when it's out and would like to watch it in HD on my MBP.

No the super drive is not compatible with HD-DVD Roms, you would need an HD-DVD drive
