What are the chances that this update is just to get rid of any current laptops Apple still has in their inventory, as in... this case and stuff so as to make way for newer ones at Leopards release?

Is there any possibility Macbook Pros will see multitouch when leopard comes out?

I just purchased a MBP this morning but now I'm having doubts and may cancel my order. But, I have the feeling if they do put multitouch capibilities into Leopard it will only be for imacs at first.

If they were going to put in multi-touch into portables they would of released a tablet at WWDC and held off on the update. It would be cruel to update the MBP then 6 days later introduce a tablet.

Yea, i understand what you mean. What about 6 months for now. Do you think when Leopard is released it might have multitouch capabilities?

Nah, it's not practical yet. Multi-touch in regular computers is still a couple of years away. 10.6 might see support for it.
