I just wanted to start a thread expressing my appreciation for my MacBook Pro. I think too often we all come on this forum to bitch about the new products that Apple give us, so this is a chance to say what you like about your MacBook Pro. Sure, it isn't perfect, but it is a great piece of technology.
I just can't help but fall a little bit more in love every time I use/see my MacBook Pro. When it first came out I was a little disappointed that it retained the same form factor as the PowerBook G4, but you can't help but love this aging design. It is still much sexier than most portable computers out there. There aren't many that can compare to all you get in such a thin and light package.
Before I had my MacBook Pro, I had a 15" PowerBook G4 @1 GHz. I loved that computer, although it was showing signs of its age, especially when pitted against my iMac G5. I have to say three of my favorite additions to the new MacBook Pro are the magnificant display, the backlit keyboard ( I know this isn't new to the MBP, but my PowerBook did not have this feature) and the addition of the iSight and Front Row. Not to mention, how cool is it to have a portable computer that has a dual core processor? It's funny to think that I have owned a portable computer that has a dual core before I ever had a desktop with a dual core.
Well, I guess I will stop rambling now, but if anyone wants to add some comments about their new Macs (doesn't have to specifically be a MacBook Pro) please do! And like I said, I know the MacBook Pro isn't perfect ( I would love more battery life), but it is a damn sexy, super fast, long-lasting portable from Apple.
And on a side not, I can't wait to see Leopard previewed tomorrow to see what our next generation OS X will be like!
