The default color profile is on "Color LCD" as set in System prefs. Sometimes when waking the computer out of sleep mode, and sometimes even while using it, the color becomes more pale, the display is still completely usable, and the untrained eye will not notice the difference. However, going to Display Preferences, fixes the problem and it goes back to the "Color LCD" profile.
For you MBP owners out there to know what I mean, open up Display prefs and select Apple RGB or something other than "color LCD" on the built in display. That is what it reverts to at times, and going into display preferences without touching anything else, just going in and exiting out fixes the problem.
I really hope that it is not a problem with the video card, I am just wondering that is this something that happens to others as well? Though it does not seem like it is a hardware problem, I really hope it isn't one, otherwise I better send it into Apple...though I would rather not be without my computer for weeks.
P.S My external display which is being used as my main monitor, does not do this. Only happens on the built in display. Also this happens pretty random, so its not like I can show Apple that easily. If there will be no future ill-effects to the MBP down the road, I can and will live with it.
