MacBook Pro--->backup on iMac?

I have my MacBook Pro connected to my iMac, is there a way to backup all my data onto that? Like making a replica or just basic backup the harddrive onto the iMac via firewire? Is there an application for this?

I love iBackup. I just made a perfect copy and it restored my iMac just like it was. It was weird having all of my keychains, contacts, and bookmarks restored automatically.

Thanks! How did you back up yours though? Did you make a replica of your harddrive or did you just saved certain settings or what?

I just save certain settings and my personal files.
