I have a 15" macbook pro I purchased in early 2009. I got it just after the unibody models came out, the ones with the replaceable battery. When I got it, it obviously had OS 10.5, and the battery lasted right around 3 hours, maybe more if I was lucky. I recently installed OS 10.6 and now the battery isn't even lasting 2 hours! Up until the day I installed 10.6, 10.5 was lasting 3 hours or more. Does anyone know why this could be happening? I've checked to make sure it's running off the 9400M, and it is. I installed coconut battery and it says I'm at 97% capacity. The battery icon in the menu bar doesn't say it needs to be replaced. What's the deal?

I've seen others complain about his as well.
My MBP have more or less the same battery life before and after.

Have you checked if there is something that uses much CPU power in Activity Monitor?
