I have been having battery life problems on my late 2013 macbook pro retina for a little while. On 75% brightness, i get about 5 1/2 to 6 hours of battery life when charged from 100%. Normally apple said that you normally get 9 hours when using 75%. When i watch netflix or youtube is even worse. What are some tips to have longer battery life?

TBH it depends far more on what apps you are running and load you put on the machine, brightness of the screen can be almost irrelevant...

Don't use Chrome, close any unused apps that you don't need running.

Your numbers sounds about right. Two years of wear on the battery it will decrease your battery life. Actually the fact that you are getting 6 hours of battery life with 75% brightness after 2 years is very impressive.
