Macbook Pro battery

I have a 2007 macbook pro 17" coming friday/saturday.

All works fine but battery is dead.

I looked on ebay but not sure.

I'm not stupid enough to spend only £16 on the cheap ones they aint gonna last and more trouble than worth.

Can some point me in direction in UK for batteries?
Tried looking on apple shop but not seeing batteries.

Any help would be great.

Apple no longer manufacture official batteries for that model.

Your main issue is that it's very old and all OEM batteries for it will Be pretty old too.

Ifixit Europe have one it is €100 though.

Think I got with that as it also aluminium like the rest of machine.

I found some at £45 but plastic body.
never thought of amazon thank you.

For reference it is an a1229 that I have on its way.
