I just wanted to let you guys know, that now from personal experiance i can say that my macbook pro has done better than my old dell. This morning when i woke up, i picked up and it slipped out of my hands at a height of about 2 and half feet and feel to the floor landing on the screen. Well as you al can see its still chugging along, not dents scratches or anything. The screen has nothign wrong with it either which is amazing to me. Just wanted to share that little story.

That's good to know. Most people are extremely careful with their MBP's (not saying that you aren't!), because the MB is more the rugged type. I like hearing positive stories about this kinda stuff though. ;)

This is one of the reasons I want an MBP. The aluminum may be exposable to actual dings, but while this is rare, you cannot avoid getting your MB scratched. One of my friends has a 15" Al PB 3 years old, and there's not one single scratch on it. I even take better care of my MB than he does his PB.

Also, my MB has a few loose ends. Where I point my finger, there's a slight gap between the bottom and top casing (only visible from the front). Bugs the hell outta me.
