macbook pro c2d & vista x64

O.k i went oput and purchased vista ultimate x64
to run on my macbook pro c2d.

Installation went smooth no problems.

But i have no sound or wifi-


I extracted the drivers from the boot camp but i am unable to
have sound working or wifi.

When i test the sound it appears that it works i see the volume meter led green when i test the sound but i dont hear nothing through my speakers.

Can somebody please help me in finding vista 64 drivers?

mouse-keyboard,bluetooth etc work i just want sound and wi-fi

I'm not sure if I am 100% correct on this but you can't install 32 bit drivers (such as the Apple bootcamp drivers) on a 64 bit system. The drivers have to be 64 bit as well. I also looked around for 64 bit drivers but I couldn't find any and went back to 32 bit so I think your best option is to install the 32 bit version of Vista for the time being. If you bought the 64 bit then you should be able to get the 32 bit for a minimal fee from Microsoft. I paid 13 dollars extra for 64 bit dvd and now I have both versions. Hope this helps.

This is true. If you're only running 32-bit apps on your MacBook Pro, then you'd definitely be better off running 32-bit Vista. If you were running it on a Mac Pro, then it might be different as you could address all of the RAM in Vista x64. But with a max of 3GB for the MBP, just run the 32-bit edition.

Then again, if there truly is a reason you need to run a 64-bit Windows OS, then please disregard my previous statement.
