Macbook Pro Cable

I am a PC user that is looking into switching to a MacBook Pro, but I noticed from my friends laptop that they do not have an S-Video cable. Is there a converter or something else I can use to hook up my laptop to a TV. Because I take my laptop to my grandparents house to show them pictures sometimes and they can't see off a small screen.
