and before anybody comes saying how it means new Macbook Pro's next Tuesday, Amazon knows nothing about Apple's future plans, this is just a good deal that they have going right now.

Do they have to preempt Apple when purchasing stock or do Apple take back stock that becomes outdated by revisions? I mean if Amazon just made a massive order then Apple ups the specs, they then have a good deal of devalued stock. Surely buyers such as Amazon must get some hint - especially through limited stock coming in, etc. But I think also this is clever timing by Amazon: while everyone is talking revisions - LEDs and Santa Rosa, now is the perfect time to make people feel they can bag a bargain before the new specs come in.

One final thought: Amazon has specifically placed the MBP in what they are calling a stock clearance, and though this I know is just an advertising term - just maybe they are clearing stock for a new arrival.

Well we all know Apple are going to release it sometime between next Tuesday and WWDC. While the obvious choice is WWDC, Apple may decide to devote that to Leopard and release it sooner (maybe along with the updated MacBook).

The money is burning a hole in my pockets, I just hope Apple release the MBP before I have no pants left.:D
