I hear a slight click sound from my computer at idle. It is very consistent. While at idle I hear the fans spinning and when it seems that they are spinning down a bit I get this click sound and they spin back up.

Is this happening to everyone or is it just me?

I believe a software update from two days ago fixed this issue. Have you updated?

I have done everything that came through the software update. Is there a firmware update that I am missing?

This click - is it hardware (disk) or software (through speakers / headphones)?

For the brief time that I had it (15" 2.4 MBP, 7200 rpm HDD), I noticed the clicking as well. It is the HDD going about its business - nothing to worry about. If t bothers you though, then you may have to downgrade to the 5400 rpm drive.
