Macbook Pro Crashing on awake from sleep

Hi guys,

Weird one here, and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions before I re-format.

When I awaken my macbook pro, I get my desktop up immediately, which then fades to a complete blue screen (like the logon screen), and stays there unresponsive until I turn it off and on. (I left it on for around 10 mins...no dice...)

It has only happened since 10.4.8, but it didn't happen immediately after. The only other software I've installed is the aperture 1.5 update.

I've done ctrl alt p & r to re-set the P-Ram, repaired permissions (the snake oil of apple maintainance )

Anyone else got any suggestions before I format?

How did you repair permissions if the screen was blue? Can you get to the Desktop some of the time? Have you tied running fsck?

Do you have any third party utilities running or have third party USB devices plugged in?

Now that mad jew brought it up, have you tried logging in under single user mode and doing a permissions check?

Repair permissions.. maybe archive and install???
