So i have finally decided to buy my macbook pro and i will do so this week but i have a few questions first. should i go for the 4 gig of ram upgrade or should i do it myself, also what type of screen do you recommend i get, and finally should i go for the apple warrenty. o and one more thing should i buy it online or should i go to the store, if i do buy online how long will it be until i get it?

Yes, I agree with Eldorian for the most part.
1. Upgrade the ram yourself because Apple overcharges and it is really easy to install the ram yourself.
2. I think the 15 inch screen is the best for overall use unless you think you will be watching a lot of movies or playing intense games.
3. AppleCare for a laptop is a must

I'm in the same boat as Tom.
Will this work in a Macbook Pro: Centon 2GB PC2-5300 667MHz 200pin SODIMM DDR2 Memory Module.
I also wanted to upgrade to the 160GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm. Is it worth it? I'd like to just pick my MBP up at the store, but having a faster hard drive would be sweet. Can you buy those and install them yourself?

Out of date. For a current MBP, they say 4 Gb is the limit (but it's actually 8 'cause of the SR chipset). OP, definitely don't buy Apple's overpriced RAM, as long as you have the right tool (#0 philips) you're good to go. I prefer glossy screens, but the matte would be better if you have a light source behind you. Considering I advised you to upgrade the RAM yourself, get it at the store so you can enjoy it that day. Just be sure to keep the RAM because Apple doesn't like third party RAM if your computer ever needs service.
