Ok, so I know this has been asked a few times, but please be gentle :)
I'm considering getting a Macbook Pro (base model but with a bit more ram from somewhere else), for uni in september. I'll be doing graphic design, using the usual programs - photoshop, illustrator etc, and want to be using boot camp for other programs (corel etc).
I'm just wondering wether or not to hold off until september or buy one now? I'd quite like one now, however I don't really need it, but i'd like to get used to mac before I start uni.
Will the macbook last me for 3 years?

Thanks and sorry for the thread ;-)

i'd get your ram maxed out if you plan on running the adobe line on a macintel before CS3 comes, but other than that, the machines are great NOW, so i wouldn't hesitate if you wanted one now. plus, like it's been said before, that will give you time to address any issues the MBP might have, BEFORE school starts up.
