... the worst happened... don't you ever leave your notebook around any glass with any kind of liquid...

so i had my notebook with me... when my evil cat jumped to the table, and knocked the glass with soda I had with me... said soda felt on the keyboard and some on the display...

quickly, i disconnected everything, turned it off by pressing the power button, and inmediately started to disassemble the top case to remove the keyboard, all this while leaving it upside down...

i cleansed the keyboard quickly (amazingly, the keys are soundless now), but to my horror, the display was a bit ruined...

is there anything I could do? could I dissasemble the screen by removing the "protection" screen from the sandwich, clean it, and reassemble it?

if impossible, where could i get one of those HD displays I read here?

Thanks!
Here's the picture of my horror:

I don't really know what you can do about this problem, but WORST CASE you can buy a new screen for about 200 bucks I think. That's if nothing else works though, so hopefully somebody else will offer a solution.

CLEAN IT really well, I mean really really well take it apart as much as possible. I think you can save the screen, if its within your ablilities you need to take the sceen apart and clean it. Out of the top casing and everything.

So... the screen is a sandwich right?

Bezel (only the outside)
Protective Screen
LCD sandwich
Backlight

In that order... I have to remove the protective screen, and clean it...

One aditional question, what kind of screen (HD of course) should I buy, and were?

Thanks for the responses!
