Hi, I have a portable Arzopa monitor that is powered via USB C and also transmits the image signal via a Type cable. I have been using this monitor on my Mac Studio for some time now.

I now have an M4 Pro Mac Book Pro where the monitor is not recognized. Of course I have tried everything: Tested all ports, tested different USB C / Thunderbolt cables, Detect Displays in the System Settings, Mac is connected to the Magsave charging cable. It is simply not recognized.
As I said, it works perfectly on the Mac Studio.

Could it be that you have to change something in the direction of battery saving mode via Thunderbolt?

Or any other tip?

You said you've tested "different cables" but.... USB-C displays like this are VERY sensitive to the cable used. I have one that works fine when traveling with my MacBook Pro but wanted to set it up for my Mac mini here at home. I 3D printed a magnetic holder to fasten to a VESA display arm, and it took me FOUR different cables to find one that would work reliably with that arm (2m long cable, unlike the 1m that came with the display).

Since finally getting the right cable, it's been flawless for 2 years and 2 different Mac minis (M1 and M4 Pro)
