MacBook Pro Dual Link DVI

how is it that i could connect 2 dvi moniters to the laptop? thats what dual link DVI is right?

No the dual link DVI means it can drive a 30" ACD and the 30" Dell Display

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe dual-link dvi just supports higher resolutions than single-link dvi. For instance, one could drive a 30" ACD at full resolution with the dual-link, but one could not connect two smaller screens at the same time.

Again, not 100% sure, so I hope I'm wrong.

No, Dual-link DVI is a single output, a single cable but it puts twice the "grunt" through to the monitor than a regular DVI connection. You need all that power to push 2560x1600 on the 30" display. Currently there is no method of plugging more than one display into the MBP. There are solutions for the PowerBook that involve a PCMCIA card.

It's pretty likely an ExpressCard version will be made as it would be able to access the much faster PCIe bus but whether the adapter will be the 34mm version found in the MBP or the 54mm version is as yet unknown.

, which says that Duallink DVI can pull up to 3840x2400 pixels which is 9.2 mpx.
