Maybe not as bad as it was on the first EC release, and maybe not the same bug but I am getting occasional lockups whenever certain apps are running. Not helping when audio capture is a priority but the same USB/mixer/microphone which was working fine in th elater releases of EC is occasionally causing some issues in Sierra.

On Sierra, my 5k 2015 iMac completely froze like three times. Audio played on but nothing would move. For hours. Went back to 10.11.6.

I was programming and listening to music through Youtube (that means I had Safari opened) and Macbook Pro freezed just like when it happened on OS X El Capitan. Does anyone have this issue?

This may be caused by a CoreAudio + mdnsResponder file handler leak. Try executing this command in Terminal when you experience the issue:

sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

OK, I have updated my Early 2015 13" rMBP to 10.12.1 and it seems a little smoother, Adobe suite is working as are most of the other apps I tested (MS Office, Apple Apps) Ran a couple of test for Skype/Audacity through my microphone/mixer/USB combination the stuttering and missed audio did not occur again so (fingers crossed) in my setup it seems to be working OK again.

MY Mid 2010 MBP has been useless since installing Elcapitan. It crashes 5 times daily. Screen goes black and then a gray square comes up telling me to restart. I've researched, cleaned the computer, unloaded all nefarious software (mac keeper etc), cleaned off all old unused software. Today I installed Sierra on an external SSD, migrated my data and booted from there. And......it still quits. I am hesitant to buy a new mac because I'm afraid that once I migrate my data and apps it will still have this issue. Why is no help forthcoming from Apple on this issue? The cynic in me thinks they are trying to force up to buy new machines but I see that some people with newer machines have this problem. Generally tis only happens when using my browser (chrome worse, Safari a little better but still crashes) but now it's happening using Affinity designer too.
