From what I know, the max is 6000 RPMs. This can be controlled by smcFanControl. I believe there are many threads about this program and the related issue of heat.

as posted above, 6000. Mine hits that when I'm gaming or making a batch in photoshop

nice i just hit 6K RPM using smcfancontrol

so where is the spec. data on the fans ?? is it printed in black and white somewhere by Apple ?

does anyone know where to find the technical specs on the fans ?

I am a sonar technician in the navy, I read tech. publications all day, and when fixing a piece of computer gear, i need to know voltages and logic voltages and what have you, SO... if its not in black and white print, it doesnt exist to me, and a rule of a technician is to never make it up, dont guess, its a computer and it has its limits printed somewhere.

so where does Apple print their spec data ??

any clues, ? anyone ???
