At night I leave the lid of my MacBook Pro 13'' Early 2015 open and it goes automatically to sleep.
In the morning the screen is black when I am trying to wake up my MacBook, and I have to hard reboot.
This has happened twice on two consecutive days after updating to macOS 10.15.4. It had never happened to me before on previous versions of Catalina.

Does anybody else have the same problem?
Thanks

I have a MacBook air! Early 2015. And no i don't connect it to anything external.

A couple of things to try:
  • Do a SMC and PRAM reset.
  • If you force the computer to sleep, leave it alone for say 30 mins, wake it does the issue happen?
  • Create a clean new user account, restart the computer, login to the new user, does the issue happen in the new user account?

I will tried forcing it to sleep. But this time it did not crash. I will try the other suggestions. Thank you so much!

Have you found a solution? I am having the same problem since a week ago. It started out of the blue on Monterey Beta 6. I tried everything, then I erased the disk and did a clean install of Big Sur. Now it's happening again...
