Macbook Pro Gaming Temperatures

Hi I am a recent switcher, and am also new to laptops. I just receieved my new 2.2 MBP on monday, and am wondering a few things. Ive noticed that it seems to be running really hot, while just on opera and itunes, with half brightness it ranges from 50-55C. This isnt to bad, its only when i start to game that i get worried. While playing warcraft 3(with itunes, and adium running in the background - once again with half brightness to 3/4 brightness) my cpu and gpu diode temperatures are reading 75-80C. So im just wondering if this is too hot, do any other users have any input or experience with gaming temperatures on the macbook pro.

Not even close to being too hot. This question has been posted time after time, I would suggest using the search function.

They are normally that hot. That's just what happens when you put a 85 watt machine into a 1 inch thick metal enclosure.

THere is an application called smcFanControl which can force the fans to work harder if the heat is a problem for you. If the heat is a problem for the computer it will automatically bump up the fans on its own.

Yeah, these temps aren't really that odd. I was just reading a review of the new Dell Inspiron 1420, and the reviewer noted temps in the high 40's to low 50's just when idling, etc. It's pretty normal.
