Does anyone think they will ever update the Macbook pro housing to accommodate other colours, the reason I ask is because I think it would just look totally awesome in a Carbon or Jet Black housing, obviously they would keep the look as it has now and just include an option to pay more for the colour upgrade,

What do you guys think? Should they offer more colour options like they do with the iPods or do you think the Macbook Pro is a professional product and that adding the option to change colours would take away from its style and prestige?

I'm pretty sure there's a website that can color your mbp whatever you wish, but I'm not 100% certain. Apple will never add color to the mbp imo because it's a Pro laptop...it needs to stay professional looking and silver! perhaps some color options for macbooks (well, more color options, other than b/w) might become available in a future rev.

I love that idea, black carbon or something like that, something that spreads heat and cools well and is very light and doesnt conduct.... actually what would fit into all that and look sexy?

I think your thinking of colorwarepc.com they do it but imo its mainly for for US people beacause for people in Europe they have to pay import fees if they buy from them and then n additional $320 to have it delivered

I dont think a black carbon coloured case would take much away from it looking professional though,

well even if the different colours dont use different materials, theres no harm in keeping them in the metal case that there in now just giving us a few colour options (think alienware but less bright and more professional)
